Self Service Banking

Self Service Banking is available at our branches for the convenience of our valued customers.

The Self Service Banking is equipped with Cash Recycling Machine (CRM) that has the combined functions of an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) and Cash Deposit Machine (CDM). This allows customers to perform a wide range of transactions, for instance, balance inquiries, withdrawals, deposits, financing payments, bill payments and fund transfers.

Our Self-Service Banking is available daily from 6:00 am to 12:00 am at the following branches:

PIN CHANGE

  • MBSB Bank Customer can change PIN at any CRM or via Internet Banking (auto-sync).
  • Maximum three (3) consecutive incorrect attempts; 4th blocks card (“Captured PIN”).
  • Attempts counted across CRM & Internet Banking.
  • Blocked cards can be reissued at any nearest MBSB Bank branches.

BALANCE INQUIRY (SAVING & CURRENT ACCOUNT)

  • MBSB Bank Visa Debit Card-i: Up to fourteen (14) linked accounts.
  • Non-MBSB Bank cards: One (1) primary savings & one (1) primary current account.

CASH WITHDRAWAL

  • MBSB Bank Visa Debit-i Card:
    • Cash withdrawal from active Savings or Current accounts only.
    • Maximum RM1,500 per transaction; daily limit between RM3,000 and RM5,000.
    • Withdrawal limits can be updated at MBSB Bank CRM Machine, Call Center or any nearest MBSB Bank branches.
  • Other Bank Cards:
    • Cash withdrawal from one (1) Savings account and one (1) Current account.
    • Maximum RM1,500 per transaction; subject to the issuing bank’s daily limit.
  • Fast Cash: RM100, RM200, RM300, RM500, RM700, RM1,000 and RM1,500.

INTRABANK FUND TRANSFER

  • Transfer funds within MBSB Bank (Savings & Current accounts in any combination).
  • Own accounts:
    • Resident & Exempted Group (EG) tagged Non-resident; No min/max
    • Non-resident; RM10,000 per day
  • 3rd party accounts: Max RM10,000 per day (all groups).

INTERBANK TRANSFER

  • Instant Transfer
    • Real-time transfers to other banks’ accounts (deposit, financing, or credit cards).
    • 4 available Scenarios at MBSB Bank CRM:
      Scenario From → To
      1 Non-MBSB Bank Card → Non-MBSB Bank Account
      Example: X Bank Card → X Bank Account
      2 Non-MBSB Bank Card → MBSB Bank Account
      3 MBSB Bank Visa Debit Card-i → Non-MBSB Bank Account
      4 Non-MBSB Bank Card → Non-MBSB Bank Account
      Example: X Bank Card → Y Bank Account at MBSB CRM
  • Interbank GIRO (IBG):
    • Delayed fund transfer based on IBG Schedule Processing Time. For detailed processing times, refer to the PayNet website.
    • Supports 2nd ID validation using Old IC, New IC, Army/Police ID, Passport, or Business Registration Number.
  • DuitNow:
    • Real-time transfers using registered proxies (Mobile, NRIC, Passport, Army/Police, Business Reg. No.)
    • Maintenance: register, deregister, activate/deactivate, switch bank, change account.
  • Daily Combined Limit (Instant Transfer, IBG and DuitNow):
    • Resident; RM50,000
    • Non-resident; RM10,000
    • Exempted Group (EG) tagged Non-resident; RM50,000

FINANCING PAYMENT

  • MBSB Bank customers can pay own or 3rd-party financing accounts (Mortgage-i, Personal Financing-i, Hire Purchase-i) with good account standing.
  • 3rd party’s customers can pay via ATM/CDM functions at CRM.

FINANCING INQUIRY

  • Only for financing account holders linked to Debit Card.
  • Third-party inquiries are not permitted.

JOMPAY

  • Bill payments via CRM with no fees and charges.
  • Transaction limit: Default RM1,000 | Maximum limit is RM10,000.

CASA DEPOSIT

  • Cash deposit via CDM function with MBSB Bank Visa Debit Card-i or cardless.
  • Maximum 200 notes per transaction (CASA or financing).

  • Withdrawal: Multiples of RM1,000 | Maximum RM5,000
  • Intrabank Transfer: Multiples of RM2,000 | Maximum RM10,000

  • Activate/deactivate overseas ATM usage for MBSB Bank Visa Debit Card-i (Cross-Border ATM via VISA Plus).
  • Permanent or temporary setting available (effective/expiry dates).

  • Request for Current accounts. Ready in 3 working days.

  • Request current account statements via CRM.
  • Statements mailed within 10 working days.

  • Print last 10 transactions from Savings or Current accounts.

TERM DEPOSITS-i (PLACEMENT)

  • Apply for tenures: 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 24, 36, 48, 60 months.
  • Minimum placement RM500, debited immediately from linked Current or Savings account.

  1. What is the maximum cash that I can withdraw from MBSB Bank’s CRM?

    The cash withdrawal limit is defaulted at RM3,000.00. You may withdraw up to RM5,000.00 per day, and a maximum of RM1,500.00 per withdrawal transaction. The withdrawal limit may differ if you are using other banks’ debit card as the limit is subject to the card’s issuing bank.

  2. How do I change my withdrawal limit?

    Change of Withdrawal limit is available at our CRM by simply select Others button and followed by Limits Change and Withdrawal button (multiples of RM1,000.00 up to RM5,000.00 per day) or you may call the Customer Service Centre at 03-20963000 from 6.00am to 12.00am daily.

  3. Can I use other Bank’s card to perform transaction at MBSB Bank’s CRM?

    Yes, customers from any participating bank of Shared ATM Network switch (PayNet) as well as regional link (Cross border) able to access their funds at the MBSB Bank's CRM for cash withdrawal or balance inquiry transactions.

    Note:

    Regional link customers can only perform cash withdrawal transaction. Participating Regional link (Cross Border) country:

    1. Indonesia

    2. Thailand

    3. South Korea

    4. Vietnam

  4. Which financing services that I can make payment via MBSB Bank’s CRM?

    You can make financing payment for Mortgage-i, Personal Financing-i and Hire Purchase-i (for good account status) services via the CRM.

  5. How many pieces of currency notes can I insert into the CRM for each cash deposit transaction?

    Our CRM can accept up to 200 pieces of currency notes for each cash deposit transaction, regardless of whether the deposit is to CASA or towards financing payment.

  6. Can I change my MBSB Bank Visa Debit Card-i PIN? How do I set the new PIN at the CRM?*

    Yes, you are allowed to perform PIN change at our CRM. At the main menu screen, select ‘Others’ and followed by PIN Change button. Then, enter the new PIN followed by new PIN confirmation. Screen will update the new PIN and display whether the new PIN update is successful.

  7. What if I forget my PIN number and entered the wrong PIN a few times?

    Maximum PIN tries are 3 times consecutively. On the consecutive 4th incorrect PIN entered, card status will be automatically blocked “Captured PIN”. The count of PIN verification will be combined between CRM and Internet Banking. For example, 2 wrong PIN attempts at CRM and followed by 1 wrong PIN attempt via Internet Banking if done consecutively will collectively count as 3 times.
    In such circumstances, kindly proceed to any nearest MBSB Bank branch to request for the PIN reissuance.

  8. What should I do if my debit card is retained by the machine (CRM)?

    • For MBSB Bank Visa Debit Card-i:
      • Immediately call MBSB Bank Customer Service Centre at 03-20963000 to block the card and proceed to the nearest branch for card replacement.
    • For Other Bank's card:
      • Immediately contact respective bank (card issuer bank) to block and replace the card.
